MURPH

with a 20# vest for time:
1 mile run
pull ups x 100
push ups x 200
air squats x 300
1 mile run
partition the reps as needed. begin & finish with a 1 mile run.

In memory of US Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it 'Body Armor.' From here on it will be referred to as 'Murph' in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

    I also broke this up into 20 rounds of Cindy. The last mile felt like the longest of my life...

    ...and Kyle wasn't lying about his hands. I found remnants of his blood and skin on the floor as I was doing push-ups. Thanks, buddy :)

    Used 20 rounds of Cindy as strategy as well... Hands look the surface
    of the moon! Not very lady like! ; P
    Need to improve form on pushups fo sho'!

    A few firsts today: first attempt at Murph; first wod with a vest. First mile was a breeze, second mile I kept checking to see who hooked a bus to my back.

  8. ok time 52.11 - did the 1st mile and then 10 mod rounds of cindy - then last mile did 800m, i have GOT to work on the muscle in my ankle and with the brace was still kicking my @$$!! Hard work makes you stronger. BUT with this being said I think I am with Karen I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this WOD today. After it was done I felt super good about myself and the workout!
