800m sprint x 5
work to rest ratio is 1:2 for each sprint, rounded up to next minute
for example: first 800m run takes you 2:15, then rest for 5mins (4:30 rounded up to next minute). second 800m takes 2:44, rest is 6mins and so on.
sectional competitors, wear a 20# weighted vest.

ReplyDeleteThe hardest part of this wod was convincing myself to do it.
ReplyDelete07:00 strap on the vest, zero out the timer an off we go. Wave to the neighbors as they drive off to work in their nice warm comfortable vehicles. 1st rd done, 4 to go. The rest ratio between rds was a welcome relief. Half way into the second round the cold was a distant memory. My time, speed + distance internal tachometer needed a little calibration on the third rd. I pushed the throttle a little to early and my RPM’s dropped to just above an idle. Pace yourself accordingly to the distance remaining, not act on some endorphin spike. Last rd turned into my fastest time 4:04. Closing note it sure did feel good to get that vest off.
Looking forward to another random act of kindness on Thursday.
