Lots of PR's today. It has become the rule and not the exception. More strength tomorrow.
cant even begin to explain how sore i am this morning...gotta be the accumulation of the wods from the past several days. lucky for me its my rest day!
engaged in an interesting discussion yesterday with fellow trainer, meghan. she and i talked about strength-to-bodyweight power output. like mike stated earlier, there were several individuals that pr'd in this wod. anytime someone pr's (personal record) its a hell of an accomplishment and arguably the most important way of tracking one's progress & performance. aside from being measurable, observable and repeatable (measurable in terms of annotating the weight moved; observable in that it was witnessed and proofed, therefore, legit; repeatable in terms that one should be able to perform the movement w/ that specific load in the future if need be) we must also keep in mind one's bodyweight in relation to going heavy on days like this. this wod really was a test in raw strength and explosive power. its one thing for one to lift an impressive load, but even more impressive is to know that it was however many pounds more than his/her bodyweight.
effective immediately, we will add a separate column on the whiteboard for everyone to put their bodyweight. this data is crucial in order to gauge the power & strength output conducted by our athletes.
