I'm sorry if you miss this opportunity to get humbled by such an ostensibly simple exercise. This was the first time most of you have done any weight and suffered the consequences of tight hamstrings and inflexible shoulders. This is why we do this exercise as a warm up with the pvc pipe. There simply aren't enough days in the week to do everything so we have to utilize the warm up to sneak other exercises in the mix. If you didn't quite get your body weight don't worry about it. We are so confident in this regimen that when we come back to it in a month everyone will set a personal record. It happens every time. This exercise is the cornerstone of core and midline stabilization. Not stupid swiss ball core but true core strength that recruits other attributes such as balance and flexibility in addition to strength and coordination. As for the bottom to bottom tabata oh squats I'm surprised this isn't more popular on the circuit. For those of you who didn't see this spectacle you missed a group extremely fit men (and one woman) in a fight of their lives with a measly 45# bar. If we didn't do things like this two things would happen. 1. You would miss out on the broad spectrum of varied modalities and 2. your heads would swell with delusions of thinking you are in too good of shape. It is always good to meet humility as he invariably takes you down a notch or two. More fun to come tomorrow. For those of you who hate burpees we have a treat in store for you!!
