jump touch- a jump with the intent of touching an object or mark at the set height. this is not a squat jump therefore, it is not imperative to reach full depth prior to the jump. for today, the mark is 10 feet for men and 8 feet for women. the idea is to perform consecutive jumps as fast as possible to accumulate the most reps.

If you attended a CrossFit Level 1 Certification Seminar prior to April 2010, you are now required to pass a test in order to continue using your credential as a Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. You have until December 31, 2011 to pass this exam otherwise your credential will change from a Trainer Certificate to a Certificate of Attendance. Most importantly, you can no longer use the title of "CrossFit Trainer" as a credential until you have passed the exam.

What are the benefits of attending a Level 1 Course? You will get an in-depth introduction to the CrossFit concepts, methods and movements over a 2 day seminar. It is jam packed with information that will completely change your outlook on fitness and strength & conditioning. It will also provide you with the tools necessary in order to continue your training as well as to train others in CrossFit. For many, this is their first exposure to the Community of CrossFit.

Rest assured, your head trainers and coaches here at CrossFit JAX are not only current on their Level 1 certifications, but with their Level 2 certifications as well as having the privilege of being on the Certification Staff with CrossFit HQ. Our assistant coaches have extensive certifications and have attended other specialized seminars in order to provide you the best and up to date coaching methods and principles.

If you are interested in attending a Level 1 Course, click on the following link for more info. Here is another link referencing FAQs for the course. In the meantime, keep working the fundamental mechanics and show consistency!
