  2. todays cedar valley wod was heavy deadlifts at 5x5. we started off with an extensive agility based warm up. from there, we went to the oly-lifting room which is outfitted with great lifting platforms, bumper plates and bars. we started off with snatch deadlifts @ 5x5, then into the wod.

    russ. snatch dl's @ 265# / deadlifts @ 310#
    meghan. snatch dl's @ 100# / deadlifts @ 187.25#

  4. Do I have what it takes to compete? Will I get smoked, puke, or passout? Am I sick to run the risk of embarrassment? What makes a person keep coming back for more? Is it punishment or improvement?

  5. Love the pic...that was a Tabata day I'm pretty sure...I recall one James Watkins (former NFL safety) getting wrecked on pushups. WRECKED. The tall, goofy guy in the middle didn't do much better.

Merry Christmas to everyone at CFJax from all of your brothers and sisters from CrossFit Southside.

that is the beauty of competition. all of those questions will be answered. there is no other way than to put yourself in the arena.
